Say Goodbye to Cellulite: How Aveli® Works
Heading

Hi, I’m Dr. Aimé, a plastic surgeon based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Today, I want to introduce you to Aveli®, a newer, minimally invasive device that targets and treats cellulite at its root cause—with results that patients are loving.

What Is Aveli?

Aveli is an innovative treatment designed specifically to reduce the appearance of cellulite—those dimples that commonly show up on the buttocks and thighs. While cellulite is completely normal (and incredibly common), many patients are bothered by it and want a reliable solution. That’s where Aveli comes in.

How Does Aveli Work?

The Aveli device uses a small light to help guide me as I work just beneath the skin’s surface. The real magic happens thanks to a tiny hook and a micro-blade within the device. Here’s how it works:

  1. Locating the Cellulite Bands: The built-in light lets me see exactly where the fibrous bands are located under your skin.
  1. Hooking the Bands: A small hook is deployed to gently catch one of the bands causing the dimpled appearance.
  1. Releasing the Bands: Once the band is secured, I activate a tiny blade to release it—effectively “cutting” the tension that causes the skin to dimple. Think of these bands like parachute cords tugging downward on the skin. By releasing them, the skin can smooth out.

This process is repeated to address each individual cellulite band in the treatment area, whether that’s the buttocks, outer thighs, or both.

What Is the Procedure Like?

Aveli is performed in-office under local anesthesia, so there’s no need for general anesthesia or sedation. The treatment is efficient, and some patients even feel comfortable driving themselves home afterward.

Why Choose Aveli?

  • Minimally invasive
  • Targeted, one-time treatment
  • In-office convenience
  • No recurring treatments needed for the same dimples
  • Smooth, natural-looking results

If you’ve tried creams, massages, or radiofrequency without meaningful improvement, Aveli may be the solution you’ve been waiting for. It treats the underlying cause of cellulite—not just the surface.

Do You Have Enough Fat for a Fat Transfer?

Many patients worry they don’t have enough fat for a fat transfer—especially if they’re naturally thin or very fit. In reality, fat transfer candidacy depends more on proportion, surgical planning, and treatment goals than body weight alone. This article explains how surgeons evaluate donor fat, common areas used for fat harvesting, and why even lean patients are often good candidates for fat grafting with the right approach and expectations.

How a Tummy Tuck Can Restore Core Strength

Many people think of a tummy tuck as a cosmetic procedure, but for some patients it can also improve how the core functions. Pregnancy can stretch and separate the abdominal muscles, making it difficult to regain strength, support the back, or engage the core effectively—even with exercise. By repairing diastasis recti and restoring the abdominal wall, a tummy tuck can improve core stability and posture. Studies show this structural repair may help reduce back strain and, in some postpartum patients, improve pelvic floor support and urinary control. While surgery does not replace exercise or physical therapy, it can correct the underlying anatomy so strengthening efforts finally work as intended.
