Thigh Lift
A thigh lift helps you achieve a more toned, contoured leg silhouette by removing loose skin and stubborn fat — especially after weight loss or aging.

A thigh lift, also known as thighplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to reshape and tighten the thighs by removing excess skin and fat. It’s especially beneficial for individuals who have experienced significant weight loss or notice loose, sagging skin due to aging or skin laxity.
The procedure targets the inner thighs, outer thighs, or both, depending on your goals and anatomy. By tightening the skin and improving contour, a thigh lift can create a smoother, firmer, and more proportionate appearance, helping patients feel more confident in fitted clothing, swimwear, or simply in their own skin.

A thigh lift and thigh liposuction are both procedures to improve the appearance of the thighs, but they address different issues. A thigh lift removes excess skin and fat, tightening and reshaping the thighs, which is ideal for people with sagging skin due to weight loss or aging. It involves larger incisions and leaves more visible scars, but it effectively smooths and firms the thighs. On the other hand, thigh liposuction focuses solely on removing fat from the thighs through small incisions, making it suitable for those with stubborn fat but firm, elastic skin. Liposuction leaves minimal scarring and has a quicker recovery, but it doesn't address loose skin. For those with both excess fat and sagging skin, a combination of the two procedures may be recommended.
There are several variations depending on your needs:
- Mini (Short Scar) Thigh Lift – for mild skin laxity in the upper inner thigh
- Vertical Thigh Lift – for more significant skin laxity along the inner thigh
- Spiral Thigh Lift – for circumferential skin tightening, often after major weight loss
Dr. Aimé will recommend the best option based on your anatomy and goals.
While a thigh lift can improve the overall appearance and firmness of the thighs, it is not designed to eliminate cellulite. However, tightening the skin may minimize the appearance of cellulite in some cases.
Absolutely. Thigh lifts are commonly combined with procedures like a tummy tuck, arm lift, or body lift — especially for post-weight loss patients. Dr. Aimé can help you build a customized surgical plan to safely combine treatments.
Thigh lift results are long-lasting, especially if you maintain a stable weight and healthy lifestyle. However, normal aging and future weight fluctuations may affect the skin over time.
