PRP, Growth Factors & Exosomes

Harness your body’s own power to heal and regenerate. PRP, growth factors, and exosomes are advanced regenerative therapies that can be applied topically or injected to stimulate collagen, repair tissue, and enhance skin tone and texture—naturally and effectively.

What is PRP, Growth Factors & Exosomes?

These biologic therapies are used to enhance the skin’s ability to heal, rebuild, and rejuvenate:

  • PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): Derived from your own blood, PRP is rich in natural growth factors that stimulate collagen production, support healing, and improve skin texture. It’s often combined with microneedling or injected into specific areas for more targeted results.
  • Growth Factors: These are proteins that regulate cellular activity, such as proliferation and repair. When applied to the skin (especially after microneedling), they accelerate regeneration and help reduce signs of aging.
  • Exosomes: These are ultra-potent cellular messengers derived from stem cells that deliver RNA, lipids, and proteins to promote deep tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and stimulate collagen production. They’re cutting-edge and offer stronger regenerative potential than growth factors alone.

Each of these options works best when paired with procedures that create microchannels in the skin (such as microneedling or laser), allowing deeper penetration and enhancing results.

Preparing for Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Growth Factors & Exosomes

To ensure optimal results from your PRP, growth factor, or exosome therapy, a little preparation goes a long way. We recommend the following:

  • Hydrate well in the 24–48 hours leading up to your appointment—especially important if you’re having a PRP-based treatment where your own blood is drawn.
  • Start taking Arnica (optional) for at least 24–72 hours prior to decrease bruising.
  • Pause active skincare (retinols, exfoliants, acids) 1 week before and after your procedure to minimize sensitivity.
  • Arrive with clean skin—no makeup—so your treatment area is ready for topical numbing.
  • If you’re taking any blood-thinning medications or supplements (fish oil, turmeric, vitamin E), please inform us in advance for personalized guidance.
  • Bring a hat or visor to if your appointment as skin may be sensitive to sunlight after treatment

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Growth Factors & Exosomes Procedure

Your treatment will be customized based on your goals—whether you’re targeting skin texture, tone, hair regrowth, or scars. Here’s a general overview:

  • PRP begin with a quick blood draw. Your blood is spun in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma, which contains healing proteins and growth factors.
  • Exosome or growth factor therapy uses lab-derived signaling molecules—no blood draw necessary.
  • A topical anesthetic is generally applied before treatments involving microneedling.
  • The treatment area is cleansed and prepped for treatment.
  • The regenerative product is then injected, microneedled, or applied topically depending on your specific plan.
  • Most sessions take 45 to 180 minutes, depending on the treatment area and method.
  • You may feel light pressure, warmth, or mild tingling during the process, but discomfort is minimal.

Recovery from Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), Growth Factors & Exosomes Procedure

One of the best parts of regenerative therapies like PRP and exosomes is the minimal downtime—but you’ll still want to take care of your skin in the first 24–72 hours:

  • Expect redness, mild swelling, or pinpoint bleeding or bruising—especially if microneedling or injections were used. These typically resolve within a few days.
  • Apply post-procedure recovery kit or moisturizer to improve skin healing and flaking (typically for up to 1 week)
  • Avoid makeup, exercise, and sun exposure for the first 24-48 hours to protect your skin and prevent irritation.
  • Do not pick, exfoliate, or apply active ingredients (including retinols, acids and exfoliants) until the skin has fully calmed (usually about 1 week).
  • Keep the area hydrated and protected with a bland, gentle moisturizer.
  • For hair restoration treatments, avoid washing or applying any hair products for 24 hours post-treatment.

You may begin to notice subtle improvements in skin glow within several weeks, with full regenerative effects developing gradually over 1–3 months. For best results, a series of treatments may be recommended.
